Hannah and Little Alf become Brooke Every Horse Remembered Ambassadors
In 2018 Hannah and Little Alf joined Brooke – Action for working horses, donkeys and Mules.
Brooke is an international charity that protects and improves the lives of working horses, donkeys and mules that give people in the developing world the opportunity to work their way out of poverty. Over 100 Million of these animals are currently working worldwide, earning an income that around 600 million people rely on to put food on their tables, send their children to school and build better lives for themselves and their families.
Sadly, many working horses, donkeys and mules are suffering, so Brooke works in more than 11 developing countries, with owners, communities, service providers, governments and international organisations to make long lasting improvements to the lives of animals and their owners.
This 2018 Brooke launched their ‘Every Horse Remembered’ campaign to honour the lives of millions of horses that died in the First World War, and announced five new equestrian ambassadors for the campaign. Including Hannah and little Alf.
“Little Alf and I are so proud to be supporting Brooke’s Every Horse Remembered campaign. The millions of animals who fought in WW1 endured the most horrendous conditions and it’s devastating that, right now, there are still 100 million equines working in very similar environments around the world.
If you’ve ever loved a horse, donkey, mule or even a cheeky miniature Shetland please help Brooke’s Every Horse Remembered campaign to help prevent the suffering of working animals today.
